Target Audience 

This activity is intended for Family and General Practitioners, 

Internists, Cardiologists, Endocrinologists, Diabetologists, Hospitalists, Fellows, and allied health professionals involved in the care of patients with elevated triglycerides and lipid disorders. 

Learning Objectives 

• Evaluate the risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) events 

• Describe major predictors of residual ASCVD risk, which can remain despite guideline-driven statin monotherapy 

• Apply evidence-based guidelines and recent randomized clinical trial evidence to reduce residual ASCVD risk in patients with TG elevation while on statins
